Gazi University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Audiology was established in 2013.
MISSION & VISION
MISSION
Our mission is to train competent audiologists who know their professional rights and responsibilities, adhere to ethical principles, are productive, and adopt lifelong learning principles. In addition, it is to contribute to science and society by conducting original scientific research in the field of audiology. It is to represent our profession, university and our country in the best way in national and international platforms. It is to serve humanity at a universal level by contributing to public and public health.
VISION
It is to take part in the service sector with successful practices for public health, which carries the profession ahead of the era. In addition, it is to be able to carry out multidisciplinary studies with the spirit of teamwork. It is to contribute to the world of science as a reference education, training and research center in the scientific world with scientific studies.
THE PURPOSE AND THE FİELDS OF STUDY OF THE PROGRAM
The Aim of The Program;
It is aimed to educate audiologists who manage the steps including diagnosis, follow-up, evaluation and rehabilitation of hearing loss based on ethical rules and scientific evidence. It is aimed that audiologists are individuals who can manage public health, take protective and preventive measures to save hearing health and care about the benefit of society. It is aimed to educate well-equipped audiologists who are based on scientific evidence, research and have high performance skills for the evaluation, diagnosis, rehabilitation of balance system and diseases. In addition, it is aimed for audiologists to present their scientific contributions in both health and academic areas.

Quality Policy
Gazi University Faculty of Health Sciences Department of Audiology determines the quality policy of the following principles:
REGULATİON
Regulation on Job and Job Descriptions of Audiologists; Audiologist Duties and Responsibilities
Audiologist;
Performs diagnostic tests and determines, selection and programming of devices to be used for hearing rehabilitation with the guidance of the specialist physician in the diagnosis of diseases related to hearing and balance.
a) They conducts studies for the protection of hearing health and prevention of hearing loss.
b) Takes part in hearing screening programs and conducts the tests in these programs.

c) Makes the necessary suggestions about the protection of hearing by making noise measurements.
d) During the surgical procedures, if the surgeon deems it necessary, audiologist monitors the nerves related to hearing and balance.
e) Makes device adjustments during and after surgery in devices implanted in the ear.
f) Performs auditory perception evaluation and rehabilitation.
g) Takes part in the preparation of training programs related to hearing.
